Mother Patch - A purposely engineered and aggregated entomological, mycelial and microbial system that converts yard/kitchen waste into biodiverse soil.
Entomological systems - worms, multiple collaborative species (in situ vermiculture), pill bugs, millipedes, centipedes, beetles, mites, wood lice collected over 10 years from hundreds of ecologically interesting locations in the Front Range and mountains of Colorado as well as small amounts from Iowa, Missouri, Connecticut and Massachusetts.
Mycelial systems - saprophytic (independent fungi), mycorrhizal (root associated fungi) and endophytic (fungi that lives inside of plants) mycelium (the “roots” of a mushroom) that have been collected over the past 10 years from hundreds of ecologically interesting locations in the Front Range and mountains of Colorado as well as small amounts from Iowa, Missouri, Connecticut and Massachusetts.
Microbial systems - A diversity of microbes that reside in produce from Colorado and around the world from local farms and grocery stores and integrated into the system as kitchen scraps; this biodiversity kitchen waste.
